Home Delivered Meals
Provided for eligible individuals age 60 or older
Monday through Friday
Frozen meals are given for Holidays and weekends, as needed.
A $2.50 donation for the title 3 program is appreciated.
For those who may have difficulty attending our congregate meals, our Home Delivered Meals program is a convenient and supportive alternative. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to meet nutritional standards and is delivered right to your doorstep by our dedicated team. This service not only ensures that our seniors receive a balanced diet but also provides regular social interaction and a friendly check-in, promoting overall well-being.

CONGREGATE MEALS
Monday through Friday at Noon.
The suggested donation is $2.50 for those 60 years and older.
Guests under 60 years may make reservations and pay $4 for their meals.
Reservations for meals need to be made 24 hours in advance.
The menu boasts a variety of nutritious and delicious options, catering to diverse tastes and dietary needs. Each meal is carefully prepared by our skilled culinary team, ensuring both flavor and nourishment. In addition to providing a hearty meal, the congregate dining experience offers a wonderful opportunity for socializing and building connections. Whether you're catching up with old friends or making new ones, the lively atmosphere is sure to make your lunchtime enjoyable. ADDITIONAL FEES AND DEPOSITS
Reserving the facility requires careful attention to the necessary deposits and staffing fees.
A refundable deposit of $40.00 is required in advance to secure the reservation, and it will be refunded by mail within two weeks following the event.
A flat housekeeping fee of $56.00 applies to all rentals, alongside a rental host fee of $26.00 for the first two hours and $13.00 for each additional hour.
Renters must leave the facility clean; if additional cleaning is necessary, the deposit is forfeited and extra labor is billed at $26.00 per hour.
KITCHEN ACCESS AND RESTRICTIONS
The commercial kitchen has strict guidelines to ensure comprehensive health and safety standards.
Kitchen use is completely prohibited for preparing food for any event open to the general public.
Renting the kitchen requires the paid presence of a Community Action Committee employee with food safety certification to supervise all preparation.
Heavy equipment, including power mixers, meat slicers, food processors, proofing ovens, and the walk-in cooler, are strictly off-limits to renters.
GENERAL FACILITY REGULATIONS
All renters must adhere to specific operational rules while using the building and its grounds.
Alcoholic beverages are entirely prohibited on the premises at all times.
Renters assume full responsibility and liability for any injuries or accidents occurring during setup, the event, and cleanup.
To reserve a space, prospective renters must meet with the Senior Programs Data Entry Activity Specialist to discuss rental terms and provide the necessary signatures.

FACILITY RENTAL INFORMATION
The Senior Citizens Center, located at 402 Clough Street in Waverly, Ohio, offers various spaces for community events and gatherings. The available spaces include the full auditorium Dining Room featuring tables, chairs, and a stage, an enclosed Lounge, and a partitioned Conference Room.
SENIOR COMPANION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The Corporation of Ohio Appalachian Development sponsors the Senior Companion Program via the Community Action Committee of Pike County. Volunteer Senior Companions assist elderly persons to remain in their homes. Persons interested in becoming a Senior Companion must meet the 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, be 60 years of age or older, be willing to volunteer a minimum of four (4) hours per day, five (5) days per week.
Senior Companion volunteers receive an hourly stipend for their service and are reimbursed for mileage, while earning vacation and sick leave. The stipend is not considered income for any purpose and is non-taxable.
By providing in-home service and companionship, older persons may remain in their own home and avoid the necessity of nursing home or assisted living. Our volunteer services may include sharing a meal, reading, helping with correspondence, shopping, or just listening to the client. No income guidelines are needed to receive services.
