Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) Bureau of Disability Determination (BDD) BVR assists people who have physical, mental and emotional disabilities by providing vocational rehabilitation and other services. BSVI provides vocational rehabilitation and other services to Ohioans who are blind or have a vision impairment. BDD, in agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA), is responsible for determining medical eligibility for Ohio?s Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims. BDD is federally regulated and receives 100 percent of its funding from the Social Security Administration. It doesn?t provide vocational rehabilitation services.
