The CAC Early Childhood Program has developed a plan to provide strategies for meeting the special needs of children with disabilities and their parents. Children with disabilities are included in the full range of activities and services normally provided to all enrolled children. Provisions will be made for any modifications necessary to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. The Early Childhood Program and the Local Education Agency (LEA) will provide screenings and evaluations as needed for children suspected of having a disability. The local Health Department will assist in the screenings and evaluation for the Early Head Start program. Children are provided special education and related services necessary to foster the development of each child. These services may include: physical and occupational therapy, psychological services, speech and language services. Transportation to and from the program and to and from specialty clinics may also be provided.
