The Community Action Committee of Pike County, in conjunction with the Pike County Department of Job and Family Services, is pleased to offer this program to help Pike County residents who are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty guideline to purchase their own cars. This is a loan program and is solely for people who are employed. They will have to meet a list of eligibility requirements, have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable.
This loan program is designed to help individuals get reliable transportation for work. The program guidelines are as follows:
Must be a Pike County Resident
Must meet income requirements (at or below 200% poverty guidelines)
Must be employed at least six months at the same location/company.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license or be able to obtain one.
Must be insurable
Must adhere to the program’s trainings
Must follow program schedule for basic maintenance
Must provide proof of income
Must authorize a credit check and a BMV report
Must be able to repay loan.
Participation in the financial literacy program may be required
Vehicle loans are not to exceed $6,000 (car and first 6 months insurance premiums combined).
