for the stars to change the world.

The Business Development Program, a division of the Community Action Committee of Pike County, can guide individuals in Pike, Jackson, Ross, and Scioto counties of Ohio, through one-on-one counseling or a classroom atmosphere in exploring and developing the opportunity to own, operate, expand, or purchase a small business as means of employment and to increase or supplement income.
During the Business Development Training Program, individuals will assess and develop their personal skills, determine the viability of their business idea, learn business management and financial skills, conduct market and industry research and develop a BUSINESS PLAN. In addition, participants have access to ongoing support services.
The Business Development Program also offers financing to individuals in Pike, Jackson, Ross, and Scioto counties wanting to start, expand, or purchase a small business. Loans range from $200 to $250,000, exception is that any loan larger than $50,000 must have another financial institution involved in the project funding. Rates and terms vary based upon each business’ ability to repay. Terms cannot exceed twenty (20) years.
